"Now, what were you saying about M ward?"

I think it's ok for M Ward to make a clear-cut path for success by "popularizing" his sound. The new tour will expose him to a vast potential and the first single To Go Home is great. If your gonna tour with a huge star and play excedingly larger venues, then you might as well put out a product that will go over well.

This reviewer seems to need M Ward to remain the same and always stay the same. But then again, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

M Ward Sparks On Smoke Without Fire.

M's vocal truly does transform this Bright Eyes song from the Four Winds EP.
If Oberst does it for you that's great but I'm not feelin' it. I respect his art, it's just not for me. So, I don't want to offend when I say that M. ward takes Smoke Without Fire to a place his young semi-protege can't reach.

The guitars are spectacular >>>>>>>>>>> proceed

7/29/04, Carrboro
Cat's Cradle
15th Anniversary Merge

Nice live set from M Ward and also a bit of Joanna Newsom
April 10, 2004
Live At The Earl

If you haven't heard of her, she plays the harp and has a unique vocal delivery that's indearing yet slightly irritating. Long songs with strong arrangements.
She's also quite beautiful.

Another Ballpark - Volume One

A rare piece of Daniel Johnston history; it is an original HAND-MADE and HAND-ASSEMBLED audiocassette album, a prototype of what would become his first commercially released Stress Records cassette, "Songs of Pain". It was sold on E-Bay by its original owner, who received it from the artist nearly 25 years ago.

Daniel Johnston personally created & recorded this tape from start to finish entirely by hand; he drew the cover with black ink pen and colored it using blue, green, and red markers. He then signed and inscribed the cover with the note "To Not Daniel Johnston from Daniel Johnston" and presented it to a friend as a gift at the dawn of his musical career in the mid-1980s. The lyric insert and cassette labels are also personally handwritten by Daniel.

Enhancing its status as a historical touchstone in Daniel's life story, this tape (as in this PARTICULAR tape, not another copy of a similar tape) can be seen clearly in the film "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" and is referenced by director Jeff Feurzeig on the DVD's audio commentary track. This item also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Daniel's former manager and "recognized Daniel Johnston expert", Jeff Tartakov.

I just thought I would show what a real one looked like!!

M. Ward Tour with Norah Jones

M is planning to hit the road with superstar Norah Jones.

Begin

I'm setting up shop here to organize myself. Since I search for M Ward material and news all the time, I figured I could compile it here. Indexes for guitar tabs, video and memorabilia also would be a good idea. Of course links to articles, appearances and discography review will be the main attempt.

First off we have why I'm here..........this video.

M really shines here. Hats off to Pitchfork!!!

Here is another fine display - although the video is poor.
